Super Bulls

The Lodge at Chama’s private elk herd offers an experience like no other game park in North America. Through decades of habitat work, animal husbandry and wildlife management we have developed a private herd of over 400 animals. Our game park is over 6,000 acres of natural rocky mountain elk habitat that allows this herd to thrive within a truly wild landscape.

Selective harvest and our wildlife management practices have led to a genetic pool of animals that produces phenomenal bulls, bulls of a size that is rare in the wild herds of the American West. Unlike many other game parks, these amazing creatures were born and raised here at Chama Land and Cattle.

The Hunt

All Bull Elk hunts include six nights of accomodations in our lodge, gourmet meals and complimentary bar plus five days of guided hunting. Each hunter will have their own dedicated guide for these hunts.

Not included in our hunts is meat processing, taxidermy and gratuities.

These hunts are conducted similar to our general ranch hunts with a mix of spot-and-stalk and still hunting techniques utilized depending on hunter’s capabilities. Hunters joining us during the rut will experience bull location bugling and calling setups. Hunters can choose to hunt with a rifle, muzzleloader or bow at any point during the season, including the peak of the rut.
