Of all the species of American Wild Turkeys, the Merriam’s is perhaps the most striking. Dark and elusive and trimmed in varying shades of ivory and gold, the sight of a big Merriam’s gobbler is something you never forget.
The Lodge at Chama is the perfect place to pursue these challenging birds, and a springtime hunt here in the spectacular San Juan mountains is one to treasure for a lifetime.
The Hunt
All turkey hunts include four nights of accommodations in our lodge, gourmet meals and complimentary bar and three days of guided hunting. Each hunter will have their own dedicated guide for these hunts.These hunts are based on calling gobblers into shooting range. Hunters can hunt with shotgun or archery equipment. Our goal on these hunts is for each hunter to harvest a mature Merriam’s tom.
Pricing
$4,000 Per Hunter plus $150 license fee.Non-hunting guests: $1,280 per person.
